The First Entry Is Written, and Immediately Corrected
Archive #001, twice
Event Type
Record
The opening entry was filed with the wrong fabric weight. The correction was written beside it rather than over it, and that became the rule.
Historical Context
The error was small and nobody outside the studio would have noticed. Overwriting it would have taken one minute.
Impact
The decision not to overwrite is older than every other rule here, and it is the reason the archive can be trusted about anything.
The archive learned what it was in the first nine days, by getting something wrong and refusing to hide it.
